Humm... I've been holding out as a last bastion of freedom from face book. Sigh... I may be the only one left. Is it really worth it though? I'm posting less often here and maybe a forum for my creative stuff may be easier... should I join? Can it have video? can it have picture archives? a Place to post comments? what's it really all for?!?!

Dude- I'm not totally against it, but I have to say, I've joined, I don't see the point. I don't see the value, and it's a sad way to spend your time and energy.
Facebook isn't a replacement for a blog, it's a low-impact way to maintain connections with your relationships ranging from super-deep to the vague, zephyr of an acquaintance from your Geology 2054 Class. You can actually set-up an RSS feed in the "Notes" section of Facebook, which will transfer most or some of your blog posts from this site to your visible profile.
Blog posting can come and go in waves and you may or may not want to start-up again when you stop or you might increase your posting percentage a thousand-fold. It's all up to your temperment.
Again, the blog is a seperate, though interfacable, tool from Facebook, which is a fun place to share with other people.
I love Facebook. Yeah I can agree with Rinda, I have wasted time scrolling through friends and friends of friends, pictures and other random things posted. But I proberly spend the same amount of time on my friend's blogs and other more worthless sites. I've enjoyed it because I've found people I haven't talk to forever and enjoyed viewing pictures people post. It's nice they send post and messages to your email so you don't have to check a million things besides email. Ricky explained it perfectly, I was unsure about joining but now I am glad I did!

I just need to say this to make me feel better. Spending time reading blogs of friends is NOT worthless. I was referring to other sites I visit when I am bored and should be doing other more productive things. And yes you can post video and pix archives and its all about the message wall and posting comments on friends pictures.
